Iowa High School Basketball - Algona nips Pocahontas
January 23, 2025: Algona, IA 50511 In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Algona Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 59-56 win over the Pocahontas Indians.
The Bulldogs (12-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA). The Cadets come into the North Central challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, Iowa Falls-Alden edged St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA), 63-44, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians encounter the Emmetsburg E'Hawks (Emmetsburg, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 24. Pocahontas will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The E'Hawks come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 48-42 non-league win over Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA).
