Mississippi High School Soccer - West Lincoln nudged by Wesson
January 23, 2025: Wesson, MS 39191 Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting West Lincoln Bears (Brookhaven, MS), 1-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Wesson moves its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Cobras host Loyd Star (Brookhaven, MS) to clash with the Hornets in a 1A Region 7 test on Friday, January 24. The Hornets come into the test with a record of 14-1. Loyd Star won 4-2 in their recent non-league test against North Pike (Summit, MS)
The Bears now sport a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they host Bogue Chitto for a 1A Region 7 test on Monday, January 27. West Lincoln will clash with a Bobcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lawrence County (Monticello, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-9.
