The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans to 45 in the Tornadoes league victory on Monday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williamsfield for a contest on Tuesday, January 25. Abingdon/Avon will battle a COUGARS team coming off a 64-53 league win over Peoria Heights (Peoria Heights, IL). The COUGARS record now stands at 9-11.

The Spartans (14-6) will now prepare for their contest against Stark County (Toulon, IL). The Rebels come into the Lincoln Trail contest with a 9-11 record. In their last contest, Stark County was nudged by Williamsfield (Williamsfield, IL), 53-35, in a league contest.
