The Crestwood Comets basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Hazleton Area Cougars to 39 in the Comets league triumph on Monday.

The Comets now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pittston for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 26.

The Cougars (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA). The Spartans enter the contest with a 0-1 record.
