Iowa High School Basketball - Ar-We-Va nips Woodbine
January 24, 2023: Westside, IA 51467 Ar-We-Va Rockets (Westside, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Woodbine Tigers (Woodbine, IA), 60-53 in a league bout.
With the win, Ar-We-Va upgrades its record to 2-9 on the season. The Rockets travel to Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Coon Rapids-Bayard lost 56-50 in their recent league bout against Exira-EHK (Elk Horn, IA)
Next up, the Tigers play the Fremont-Mills Knights (Tabor, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Woodbine will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 65-46 non-league loss to Bedford (Bedford, IA).
