January 24, 2023: Jackson, KY 41339 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Jackson City Tigers (Jackson, KY) and the visiting Buckhorn Wildcats (Buckhorn, KY), saw Jackson City's basketball squad wallop Buckhorn by a count of 79-42.
With the victory, Jackson City upgrades its record to 2-11 on the campaign. The Tigers host Model (Richmond, KY) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 7-11. Model lost 69-63 in their recent non-league challenge against East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Hazard Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs (Hazard, KY) in a District 54 challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Buckhorn will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 15-2 record after their 61-42 non-league win over Knott County Central (Hindman, KY).
