Illinois High School Basketball - DeKalb nudges Kaneland
January 24, 2023: Maple Park, IL 60151 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) basketball squad edged the host Kaneland Knights (Maple Park, IL), by a count of 64-63.
The Barbs (16-7) will now prepare for their outing against Sycamore (Sycamore, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 8-15 record. In their last outing, Sycamore was tipped by Dixon (Dixon, IL), 61-49, in a non-league outing.
The Knights now hold a 20-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ottawa for a Interstate Eight outing on Friday, January 27. Kaneland will clash with a Pirates squad coming off a 58-38 non-league loss to Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 11-10.
