The Jonesport-Beals Royals basketball team scored 36 points and restricted the host Searsport Vikings to 33 in the Royals non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Royals now sport a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Deer Isle-Stonington for a D North contest on Saturday, January 28.

The Vikings (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Temple Academy (Waterville, ME). The Bereans come into the non-league contest with a 3-9 record. In their last contest, Temple Academy edged Islesboro Central (Islesboro, ME), 55-54, in a non-league contest.
