Illinois High School Basketball - Niles North holds off Maine South
January 24, 2023: Skokie, IL 60077 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Niles North Vikings (Skokie, IL) and the visiting Maine South Hawks (Park Ridge, IL), saw Niles North's basketball squad hold off Maine South by a tally of 69-65.
With the victory, Niles North improves its record to 19-4 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Deerfield (Deerfield, IL) to confront the Warriors in a Central Suburban - North challenge on Friday, January 27. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 15-5. Deerfield won 49-47 in their recent league challenge against Maine East (Park Ridge, IL)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Niles West Wolves (Skokie, IL) in a Central Suburban - South challenge, on Friday, January 27. Maine South will attempt to improve on its 10-12 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 14-10 record after their 67-66 non-league loss to Wheeling (Wheeling, IL).
