January 24, 2023: Marshalltown, IA 50158 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Roosevelt Roughriders (Des Moines, IA) and the host Marshalltown Bobcats (Marshalltown, IA), saw Roosevelt's basketball squad hold off Marshalltown by a tally of 51-44.
With the victory, Roosevelt improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Roughriders travel to Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA) to confront the Scarlets in a Freelance challenge on Friday, January 27. The Scarlets come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Des Moines East won 67-66 in their recent league challenge against Mason City (Mason City, IA)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Mason City Mohawks (Mason City, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Marshalltown will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Mohawks come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 67-66 league loss to Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA).
