The Tri-City Tornadoes basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Mt. Olive Wildcats to 35 in the Tornadoes league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 6-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hartsburg-Emden for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Tri-City will battle a Stags team coming off a 55-33 non-league loss to Warrensburg-Latham (Warrensburg, IL). The Stags record now stands at 5-17.

The Wildcats (1-17) will now prepare for their contest against Staunton (Staunton, IL). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 8-12 record.
