February 3, 2023: Edinburg, IL 62531 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Edinburg Wildcats (Edinburg, IL) and the visiting Mt. Olive Wildcats (Mt. Olive, IL), saw Edinburg's basketball squad wallop Mt. Olive by a count of 66-39.
With the victory, Edinburg upgrades its record to 8-17 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Clinton (Clinton, IL) to play the Maroons in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 6. The Maroons come into the challenge with a record of 20-6. Clinton lost 71-43 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Teresa (Decatur, IL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the East Alton-Wood River Oilers (Wood River, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Mt. Olive will attempt to upgrade on its 1-20 season record. The Oilers come into the challenge with a 11-16 record after their 48-43 league win over Roxana (Roxana, IL).
