January 24, 2023: Pittsburgh, PA 15209 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the North Allegheny Tigers (Wexford, PA) and the host Shaler Area Titans (Pittsburgh, PA), saw North Allegheny's basketball squad overcome Shaler Area by a tally of 49-36.
With the victory, North Allegheny improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Tigers host New Castle (New Castle, PA) to confront the Hurricanes in a WPIAL 6A 1 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. New Castle won 55-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA)
Next up, the Titans confront the Plum Mustangs (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 2 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Shaler Area will attempt to improve on its 11-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 78-69 non-league win over Sto-Rox (McKees Rocks, PA).
