Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Franklin Regional can't hold off North Allegheny
December 28, 2022: Wexford, PA 15090 The North Allegheny Tigers basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Franklin Regional Panthers to 53 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Tigers now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Castle for a WPIAL 6A 1 contest on Tuesday, January 3. North Allegheny will battle a Hurricanes team coming off a 56-44 non-league win over Farrell (Farrell, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 8-0.
The Panthers (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Plum (Pittsburgh, PA). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Plum was nudged by Burrell (Lower Burrell, PA), 46-43, in a non-league contest.
