Ohio High School Basketball - Norton nips Orrville
January 24, 2023: Norton, OH 44203 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Norton Panthers (Norton, OH) and the visiting Orrville Red Riders (Orrville, OH), saw Norton's basketball squad hold off Orrville by a tally of 59-56.
With the victory, Norton improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Panthers host Springfield (Akron, OH) to play the Spartans in a Metro challenge on Friday, January 27. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 5-11. Springfield won 60-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwest (Canal Fulton, OH)
Next up, the Red Riders play the Canton South Wildcats (Canton, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Orrville will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 62-48 non-league win over Tuscarawas Valley (Zoarville, OH).
