Illinois High School Basketball - Sherrard tops Orion
January 24, 2023: Sherrard, IL 61281 Sherrard Tigers (Sherrard, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Orion Chargers (Orion, IL), 59-48 in a league bout.
With the victory, Sherrard upgrades its record to 10-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL) to play the Rockets in a Three Rivers - West bout on Friday, January 27. The Rockets come into the bout with a record of 17-4. Rockridge won 62-58 in their recent league bout against Riverdale (Port Byron, IL)
Next up, the Chargers play the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers (Erie, IL) in a Three Rivers - West bout, on Friday, January 27. Orion will attempt to upgrade on its 8-15 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 44-42 league win over Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL).
