Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Unicoi County Blue Devils (Erwin, TN) and the visiting Volunteer Falcons (Church Hill, TN), saw Unicoi County's basketball squad overcome Volunteer by a tally of 50-38.

With the victory, Unicoi County improves its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Tennessee (Bristol, TN) to play the Vikings in a 3A District 1 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 17-6. Tennessee won 62-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Abingdon (Abingdon, VA)

Next up, the Falcons play the Elizabethton Fighting Cyclones (Elizabethton, TN) in a 3A District 1 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Volunteer will attempt to improve on its 15-8 season record. The Fighting Cyclones come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 68-58 league loss to Sullivan East (Bluff City, TN).
