January 24, 2023: Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA) and the host Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA), saw Mt. Baker's basketball squad hold off Sedro-Woolley by a tally of 46-39.
With the victory, Mt. Baker improves its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Bellingham (Bellingham, WA) to play the Bayhawks in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Friday, January 27. The Bayhawks come into the challenge with a record of 0-8. Bellingham lost 49-38 in their recent league challenge against Meridian (Bellingham, WA)
Next up, the Cubs play the Burlington-Edison Tigers (Burlington, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Sedro-Woolley will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 65-36 league loss to Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA).
