Washington High School Basketball - Nooksack Valley overwhelms Mt. Baker
January 19, 2023: Deming, WA 98244 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) and the host Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), saw Nooksack Valley's basketball squad wallop Mt. Baker by a tally of 73-33.
With the victory, Nooksack Valley improves its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA) to play the Tigers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Monday, January 23. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 8-1.
Next up, the Mountaineers play the Sedro-Woolley Cubs (Sedro-Woolley, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Mt. Baker will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Cubs come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 33-13 league loss to Meridian (Bellingham, WA).
