The Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) basketball knocked off the host Springfield Southeast Spartans (Springfield, IL), 44-24 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Ironmen (23-2) will now prepare for their test against Peoria (Peoria, IL). The Lions go into the Big Twelve test with a 19-3 record. In their last test, Peoria went down by Lincoln (Lincoln, IL), 48-41, in a non-league test.

The Spartans now own a 8-14 record. They play next when they travel to Lanphier for a Central State Eight test on Wednesday, January 25. Springfield Southeast will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 46-35 league loss to Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Lions record now stands at 2-18.
