The Springfield Southeast Spartans tipped the host Normal University Pioneers basketball team by a final score of 53-47 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Spartans face the Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight game, on Friday, December 2. Springfield Southeast will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Senators enter the game with a 4-2 record after their 64-42 league win over Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL).
