Illinois High School Basketball - Normal University edges Lanphier
February 7, 2023: Normal, IL 61761 The Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL), 38-33 in Tuesday's league test.
The Pioneers (11-19) will now prepare for their test against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Cyclones go into the Central State Eight test with a 24-6 record. In their last test, Sacred Heart-Griffin got by MacArthur (Decatur, IL), 56-43, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 2-23 record. They play next when they travel to MacArthur for a Central State Eight test on Thursday, February 9. Lanphier will encounter a Generals squad coming off a 56-43 league loss to Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Generals record now stands at 13-16.
