Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) and the visiting Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), saw Providence Grove's basketball squad hold off Southwestern Randolph by a tally of 41-39.

With the victory, Providence Grove improves its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Patriots host Trinity (Trinity, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a 1A/2A Conference 31 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 11-9.

Next up, the Cougars confront the Randleman Tigers (Randleman, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 31 challenge, on Friday, January 27. Southwestern Randolph will attempt to improve on its 15-5 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 18-1 record after their 59-55 league win over Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC).
