Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Steelton-Highspire can't hold off Halifax

January 24, 2024: Halifax, PA 17032

The Halifax Wildcats basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers to 69 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Millersburg for a Tri-Valley contest on Saturday, January 27. Halifax will battle a Indians team coming off a 46-39 league win over Upper Dauphin Area (Elizabethville, PA). The Indians record now stands at 8-10.

The Steamrollers (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Middletown (Middletown, PA). The Blue Raiders enter the Mid-Penn - Capital contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Middletown nudged Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, PA), 43-34, in a league contest.
