Colorado High School Basketball - De Beque holds off Caprock Academy
January 24, 2024: Grand Junction, CO 81505 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the De Beque Dragons (De Beque, CO) and the host Caprock Academy Eagles (Grand Junction, CO), saw De Beque's basketball squad hold off Caprock Academy by a tally of 37-32.
With the victory, De Beque improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to North Park (Walden, CO) to confront the Wildcats in a 2A/1A Western Slope challenge on Friday, January 26. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. North Park lost 57-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Soroco (Oak Creek, CO)
Next up, the Eagles confront the North Park Wildcats (Walden, CO) in a 2A/1A Western Slope challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Caprock Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 47-37 league loss to De Beque (De Beque, CO).
