The Brewer Bears (Fort Worth, TX) basketball edged the visiting Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX), 48-41 in Friday's league bout.

The Bears now possess a 16-14 record. They play next when they travel to Granbury for a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 28. Brewer will play a Pirates team coming off a 57-56 league win over Azle (Azle, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 13-17.

With the loss, Saginaw falls to 9-19 on the campaign. The Rough riders host Aledo (Aledo, TX) to play the Bearcats in a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 28.
