In Friday's non-league test, the South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) basketball squad trounced the visiting Bruce Trojans (Bruce, MS), by a score of 65-21.

Next, the Cougars clash with the New Albany Bulldogs (New Albany, MS) in a 4A Region 2 test, on Tuesday, January 28. South Pontotoc will attempt to improve on its 14-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 17-6 record after their 60-53 non-league win over Clearwater (Clearwater, FL).

The Trojans (2-18) will now prepare for their test against Ingomar (New Albany, MS). The Falcons come into the 2A Region 2 test with a 20-8 record. In their last test, Ingomar was routed by Thayer (Thayer, MO), 57-43, in a non-league test.
