January 24, 2025: Solon, OH 44139 The Solon Comets (Solon, OH) basketball were winner over the visiting Chaney Cowboys (Youngstown, OH), 68-59 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Comets now possess a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Berea-Midpark for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. Solon will play a Titans team coming off a 84-81 league win over Steele (Amherst, OH). The Titans record now stands at 8-5.
With the loss, Chaney falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Cowboys host Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown, OH) to play the Cardinals in a Steel Valley bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Cardinal Mooney lost 57-41 in their recent league bout against Ursuline (Youngstown, OH)
