California High School Basketball - Poly triumphant over Chavez
January 24, 2025: San Fernando, CA 91340 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Poly Parrots (Sun Valley, CA) and the host Chavez Eagles (San Fernando, CA), observed Poly's basketball team overwhelm Chavez by a score of 100-23.
The Parrots (10-9) will now prepare for their challenge against North Hollywood (North Hollywood, CA). The Huskies come into the East Valley challenge with a 5-13 record. In their last challenge, North Hollywood was routed by Marshall (Los Angeles, CA), 84-73, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) in a East Valley challenge, on Monday, January 27. Chavez will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 7-9 record after their 64-63 non-league loss to West Ranch (Valencia, CA).
