The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cowan Blackhawks (Muncie, IN) and the visiting Muncie Burris Owls (Muncie, IN), observed Cowan's basketball team overcome Muncie Burris by a margin of 64-51.

The Blackhawks (1-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Wes-Del (Gaston, IN). The Warriors come into the Mid-Eastern challenge with a 5-7 record.

In their next game, the Owls battle the South Adams Starfires (Berne, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Muncie Burris will attempt to better on its 0-10 season record. The Starfires come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 49-45 league loss to Jay County (Portland, IN).
