Indiana High School Basketball - Elwood can't hold off Cowan

February 22, 2025: Muncie, IN 47302

Cowan Blackhawks (Muncie, IN) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Elwood Panthers (Elwood, IN), 60-54 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Cowan upgrades its record to 5-14 on the year. The Blackhawks travel to Union (Modoc, IN) to face the Rockets in a Mid-Eastern match on Tuesday, February 25. The Rockets enter the match with a record of 3-14. Union lost 72-22 in their recent league match against Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN)

The Panthers now sport a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morristown for a non-league match on Friday, February 28. Elwood will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 40-34 non-league win over Union County (Liberty, IN). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 9-12.
