South Carolina High School Basketball - Darlington holds off Lower Richland
January 24, 2025: Darlington, SC 29532 In Friday's league contest, the host Darlington Falcons basketball team scored a close 31-30 triumph over the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets.
The Falcons (12-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lakewood (Sumter, SC). The Gators go into the AAAA Region 5 contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Lakewood nipped Calhoun County (St. Matthews, SC), 62-37, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Diamond Hornets confront the Crestwood Knights (Sumter, SC) in a AAAA Region 5 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Lower Richland will attempt to better on its 3-12 season record. The Knights go into the contest with a 14-2 record after their 67-61 non-league loss to Keenan (Columbia, SC).
