The Jefferson Mustangs defeated the visiting Seguin Matadors basketball squad by a final score of 46-34 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Mustangs clash with the Edison Golden Bears (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 27 outing, on Tuesday, January 28. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 17-11 season record. The Golden Bears come into the outing with a 14-15 record after their 36-34 league loss to Lanier (San Antonio, TX).

The Matadors (15-14) will now prepare for their outing against Highlands (San Antonio, TX). The Owls come into the 5A Region IV District 27 outing with a 18-11 record.
