Arkansas High School Basketball - Prescott can't hold off Ashdown
January 24, 2025: Ashdown, AR 71822 Ashdown Panthers (Ashdown, AR) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Prescott Curley Wolves (Prescott, AR), 47-45 in a league match.
With the victory, Ashdown upgrades its record to 8-7 on the year. The Panthers host Genoa Central (Texarkana, AR) to face the Dragons in a 3A Region 7 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Dragons enter the match with a record of 9-11. Genoa Central won 56-42 in their recent league match against Smackover (Smackover, AR)
The Curley Wolves now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harmony Grove for a 3A Region 7 match on Tuesday, January 28. Prescott will face a Hornets squad coming off a 56-11 league loss to Centerpoint (Amity, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 0-15.
