January 24, 2025: Waelder, TX 78959 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Austwell-Tivoli Redfish (Tivoli, TX) and the host Waelder Wildcats (Waelder, TX), observed Austwell-Tivoli's basketball team overwhelm Waelder by a score of 55-8.
The Redfish (15-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Runge (Runge, TX). The Yellowjackets come into the 1A Region IV District 30 challenge with a 1-13 record. In their last challenge, Runge was routed by Nordheim (Nordheim, TX), 48-22, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Prairie Lea Indians (Prairie Lea, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 30 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Waelder will attempt to improve on its 0-15 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 2-20 record after their 72-10 league loss to Moulton (Moulton, TX).
