Texas High School Basketball - Strawn triumphant over Baird
January 24, 2025: Strawn, TX 76475 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Strawn Greyhounds (Strawn, TX) and the visiting Baird Bears (Baird, TX), observed Strawn's basketball team overwhelm Baird by a margin of 64-31.
The Greyhounds (15-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Gordon (Gordon, TX). The Longhorns come into the 1A Region II District 13 challenge with a 19-11 record. In their last challenge, Gordon was trounced by Eula (Clyde, TX), 57-39, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bears battle the Ranger Bulldogs (Ranger, TX) in a 1A Region II District 13 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Baird will attempt to better on its 8-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-16 record after their 2-0 league loss to Strawn (Strawn, TX).
