Texas High School Basketball - Miller Grove thwarts Ector
January 24, 2025: Cumby, TX 75433 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Miller Grove Hornets (Cumby, TX) and the visiting Ector Eagles (Ector, TX), observed Miller Grove's basketball team knock off Ector by a score of 45-31.
The Hornets (8-21) will now prepare for their challenge against Campbell (Campbell, TX). The Indians come into the 1A Region III District 19 challenge with a 0-26 record. In their last challenge, Campbell was knocked off by Dodd City (Dodd City, TX), 60-18, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Savoy Cardinals (Savoy, TX) in a 1A Region III District 19 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Ector will attempt to improve on its 12-19 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 17-10 record after their 44-38 league loss to Fannindel (Ladonia, TX).
