January 24, 2025: La Joya, TX 78560 Mission Eagles (Mission, TX) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Juarez-Lincoln Huskies (La Joya, TX), 71-33 in a league match.
With the victory, Mission advances its record to 11-15 on the year. The Eagles host Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX) to face the Rattlers in a 5A Region IV District 30 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Rattlers enter the match with a record of 12-12. Rio Grande City lost 37-35 in their recent league match against Martin (Laredo, TX)
The Huskies now own a 4-20 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mission Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 30 match on Tuesday, January 28. Juarez-Lincoln will face a Patriots squad coming off a 32-31 league loss to Nixon (Laredo, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 12-12.
