The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Langston Hughes Panthers (Fairburn, GA) and the host Northgate Vikings (Newnan, GA), observed Langston Hughes's basketball team overwhelm Northgate by a score of 70-18.

The Panthers (18-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Carrollton (Carrollton, GA). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, Carrollton was routed by Norcross (Norcross, GA), 42-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Vikings encounter the Lovejoy Wildcats (Lovejoy, GA) in a AAAAA Region 3 outing, on Tuesday, January 28. Northgate will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record.
