Maryland High School Basketball - Oakland Mills nudges Mt. Hebron
January 24, 2025: Columbia, MD 21045 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD) and the visiting Mt. Hebron Vikings (Ellicott City, MD), observed Oakland Mills's basketball team edge Mt. Hebron by a score of 48-41.
The Scorpions (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue (Lanham, MD). The Warriors come into the Freelance challenge with a 15-6 record. In their last challenge, Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue was tipped by Maret (Washington, DC), 49-47, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Vikings encounter the River Hill Hawks (Clarksville, MD) in a Howard County challenge, on Monday, January 27. Mt. Hebron will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 55-48 non-league loss to Washington (Charles Town, WV).
