January 24, 2025: Oxford, MS 38655 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) and the visiting Tupelo Christian Prep Eagles (Belden, MS), saw Lafayette's soccer squad knock off Tupelo Christian Prep by a score of 6-4.
The Commodores (13-7) will now prepare for their battle against Center Hill (Olive Branch, MS). The Mustangs enter the non-league battle with a 8-10 record. In their last battle, Center Hill tipped South Panola (Batesville, MS), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Eagles confront the Nettleton Tigers (Nettleton, MS) in a Class 1 Region 1 battle, on Monday, January 27. Tupelo Christian Prep will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 3-12 record after their 7-2 non-league loss to West Point (West Point, MS).
