Virginia High School Basketball - Yorktown knocks off Herndon
January 24, 2025: Arlington, VA 22207 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) and the visiting Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), observed Yorktown's basketball team overcome Herndon by a margin of 47-38.
The Patriots (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Statesmen come into the non-league challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, George C. Marshall dropped by McLean (McLean, VA), 67-64, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 27. Herndon will attempt to better on its 8-4 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 2-12 record after their 47-41 non-league loss to Yorktown (Arlington, VA).
