January 24, 2025: Wharton, TX 77488 El Campo Ricebirds (El Campo, TX) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Wharton Tigers (Wharton, TX), 7-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, El Campo moves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Ricebirds host Palacios (Palacios, TX) to clash with the Sharks in a 4A Region 3 District 22 test on Tuesday, January 28. The Sharks come into the test with a record of 1-3. Palacios lost 4-0 in their recent league test against Columbus (Columbus, TX)
The Tigers now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Calhoun for a 4A Region 3 District 22 test on Tuesday, January 28. Wharton will meet a Sandcrabs team coming off a 1-1 league Bay City (Bay City, TX). The Sandcrabs record now stands at 2-4.
