January 25, 2022: McKee, KY 40447 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Jackson County Generals (McKee, KY) and the visiting Clay County Tigers (Manchester, KY), saw Jackson County's basketball squad overcome Clay County by a tally of 66-52.
With the victory, Jackson County improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Generals travel to Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY) to confront the Mountaineers in a District 49 challenge on Friday, January 28. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Oneida Baptist Institute won 61-27 in their recent league challenge against Red Bird (Beverly, KY)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Cordia Lions (Hazard, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 27. Clay County will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 113-77 non-league loss to Knox Central (Barbourville, KY).
