Illinois High School Basketball - Breese Central overwhelms Greenville
January 25, 2022: Breese, IL 62230 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL) and the visiting Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL), saw Breese Central's basketball squad wallop Greenville by a tally of 55-20.
With the victory, Breese Central improves its record to 11-8 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL) to play the Oilers in a Cahokia - Mississippi challenge on Wednesday, January 26. The Oilers come into the challenge with a record of 6-18. East Alton-Wood River won 49-40 in their recent non-league challenge against North Greene (White Hall, IL)
Next up, the Comets play the Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Thursday, January 27. Greenville will attempt to improve on its 10-15 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 15-6 record after their 59-48 league loss to Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL).
