The Verona Wildcats basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Madison East Purgolders to 37 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Janesville Craig for a Big Eight contest on Friday, January 28. Verona will battle a Cougars team coming off a 67-41 non-league win over Badger (Lake Geneva, WI). The Cougars record now stands at 11-6.

The Purgolders (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sauk Prairie (Prairie du Sac, WI). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 14-4 record. In their last contest, Sauk Prairie triumphed over Monroe (Monroe, WI), 71-25, in a league contest.
