Kentucky High School Basketball - Campbell County nips Walton-Verona
January 25, 2023: Walton, KY 41094 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Campbell County Camels (Alexandria, KY) and the host Walton-Verona Bearcats (Walton, KY), saw Campbell County's basketball squad hold off Walton-Verona by a tally of 65-60.
With the victory, Campbell County improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Camels travel to Scott (Covington, KY) to play the Eagles in a District 37 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 9-12. Scott won 69-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Boone County (Florence, KY)
Next up, the Bearcats play the Dixie Heights Colonels (Edgewood, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Walton-Verona will attempt to improve on its 13-6 season record. The Colonels come into the challenge with a 3-13 record after their 52-48 league loss to Lloyd Memorial (Erlanger, KY).
