Kentucky High School Basketball - Holy Cross tops Walton-Verona
February 4, 2023: Walton, KY 41094 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Holy Cross Indians (Covington, KY) and the host Walton-Verona Bearcats (Walton, KY), saw Holy Cross's basketball squad knock off Walton-Verona by a tally of 98-81.
With the victory, Holy Cross improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY) to play the Thoroughbreds in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, February 8. The Thoroughbreds come into the challenge with a record of 10-11. Newport Central Catholic lost 69-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Ryle (Union, KY)
Next up, the Bearcats play the Grant County Braves (Dry Ridge, KY) in a District 32 challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Walton-Verona will attempt to improve on its 15-7 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 21-5 record after their 61-55 non-league win over Great Crossing (Georgetown, KY).
