Virginia High School Basketball - Salem nudges Deep Creek
January 25, 2023: Virginia Beach, VA 23464 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Salem Sundevils (Virginia Beach, VA) basketball squad edged the visiting Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA), by a margin of 42-40.
The Sundevils (13-3) will now prepare for their outing against Tallwood (Virginia Beach, VA). The Lions go into the Beach outing with a 1-13 record. In their last outing, Tallwood was tipped by Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA), 92-25, in a league outing.
The Hornets now own a 11-4 record. They play next when they travel to Hickory for a Southeastern outing on Friday, January 27. Deep Creek will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 79-36 non-league loss to Kellam (Virginia Beach, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 2-13.
