The Glenvar Highlanders basketball team scored 24 points and restricted the visiting James River Knights to 18 in the Highlanders non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Highlanders now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Alleghany for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27.

The Knights (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league contest with a 9-10 record. In their last contest, Carroll County was nudged by Radford (Radford, VA), 50-32, in a non-league contest.
